Valencia prosecutor takes case of racist insults to Vini Jr to court

The department of hate crimes of the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office of Valencia forwarded the process initiated to investigate the racist insults that Brazilian striker Vini Jr.from Real Madrid, was submitted last Sunday at the Mestalla stadium.

Public Ministry sources informed EFE Agency that these actions will be added to the complaint filed by the Professional Football League for these same events. On Tuesday, the National Police arrested three young people aged between 18 and 21 for these facts, who were released after giving testimony at the police stations.

It is foreseeable that, once a judicial process has been initiated, the court that finally assumes responsibility for this investigation will summon them for questioning. The three arrested are Spanish and the police accused them of an alleged crime related to the exercise of fundamental rights and public freedoms.

The investigation, which had the collaboration of Valencia, remains open to identify other possible perpetrators of similar conduct, according to the Valencian Community Police Headquarters.
