The football team of the Alexandre Vaz Tavares State School (AVT) will represent Amapá in the Brazilian Under-17 Soccer School Championship, in May, in Recife. On Saturday (18) the Secretary of State for Sports and Leisure (Sedel) delivered 18 football boots to the students.

“I was very happy to have won the boot. It gives us more motivation to train. Being able to use the stadium makes our preparation more professional.”said the goalkeeper Kaue Carvalho.

“It will be really cool to train at Estádio Zerão. I hadn’t played here before. We are used to playing in the squares, but in the field the preparation will definitely improve”told the player Kaique Augusto.

Amapá will also have a female representative in the Brazilian Championship. The school in the district of São Joaquim do Pacuí won the selective held by the Amapaense Sports and School Federation (Fan of) and has already started preparing for the tournament. Sedel will also deliver cleats to the athletes.

“Our players will also be provided with cleats. We are planning to take the materials to São Joaquim do Pacuí in the first week of April. The Brazilian Field Soccer School Championship is held by the Brazilian Confederation of School Sports (CBDE). For men, the competition will take place from May 16 to 23, in Recife. As for women, the disputes will be held from April 23 to 30, in Palmas, Tocantins.
