PVC: Corinthians: what’s behind the title drought – 10/05/2023 – PVC

Corinthians will complete the fourth consecutive season without a title, its worst result since the four-year period 1984-1987. Not counting that period, it is the worst trophy drought since the end of the 23-year drought, with Basílio’s goal, against Ponte Preta.

Duilio Monteiro Alves will be the first president without winning anything since Marlene Matheus (1991-1993). She even won the Super Cup on the day she was elected, the day before her inauguration. To find someone without even that, you have to go back to Roberto Pasqua (1985-1987).

Duilio is called the worst president in history.

The election will be the border between returning to victories or lying down in a splendid cradle.
