The goalkeeper of AthleticoMycael, and the steering wheel of the CoritibaBruno Gomes, debuted in the shy victory of the Brazilian team over Bolivia1-0, in the Pre-Olympic, at the Brigído Iriarte Stadium, in Venezuela.

The Furacão goalkeeper didn’t need to make any big saves and the Alviverde midfielder played for 72 minutes, being little used in midfield. Ramon Menezes’ team made a poor debut in the tournament and, even with the victory, played football well below expectations against an opponent considered easy.

Helping with the marking, Bruno Gomes stopped some of the Bolivian team’s chances near the area. Offensively, he was unable to help the team. The result was a game with few chances for Brazil and no creativity.

In the 26th minute of the second half, Bruno Gomes was replaced by midfielder Alexsander, from Fluminense. In the second stage, midfielder Gabriel Pirani, from DC United, Maurício, from Internacional, and striker Gabriel Pec, from Vasco, also entered.

With the changes made by coach Ramon, the Brazilian team managed to move better and create a little more, but did not score again.

The Furacão goalkeeper barely worked. Even with Bolivia’s greater possession of the ball, the team was unable to finish well on goal and Mycael found it easy to defend.

The Pre-Olympic offers two places for the Paris Olympic Games, which start in June 2024. The tournament runs until February 11th.
