Zerão Stadium will receive renovation, says secretary of Sedel – News of Brazil

Since December, the State Department of Sports and Leisure (Sedel) is holding several meetings to adjust the technical reports that authorize the Milton de Souza Correa Stadium, ‘Zerão’, to host local and national competitions.
Currently the stadium is ready to host competitions, with a capacity of 3,100 fans, but its expiration date is approaching. According to the secretary of Sedel, Rudney Cunha, Negotiations with security agencies are advanced and everything will be updated by February.
“The reports are within days, but we are rushing to get them updated. We are in constant conversation with the FAF, which is a great partner of ours, so that there is no impasse of ‘there was no way to attend the game’ or ‘let’s take it to another stadium’. We had two meetings and we will have one more to get everything ready for the fans”said the secretary during the program ‘LuizMeloInterview’ (Diário 90.9 FM) this Tuesday (23).
The place has not been renovated since 2014, but this year it could have a new look. Rudney states that the Governor Clécio Luis will renovate one of the biggest stages of Amapá football. “We are in conversation with the David Covre, da Seinf, the governor Clecio and the Senator David to facilitate the renovation of the Zerão Stadium. The company that will build the new plant has already been hired and I believe that by the end of February we will have this project”stated the secretary.
The Stadium is receiving all the necessary treatment to welcome the public and players for national and local competition matches, starting in February. “We have already put poison for pests that deteriorate the lawn, we will do the cutting and markings”concluded.
