Aurinegro returns to the field on Friday (16) to face Nacional, in a duel valid for the Barezão semifinal

Manaus (AM) – With an eye on a place in the decision of the first round of the 2024 Amazonense Championship, Amazonas FC continues to strengthen itself for the season. This Wednesday (14), the Jaguar announced the arrival of two more players: midfielder Cauan Barros, who was at Vasco da Gama, and striker Pedro Bahia, formerly of Al Wahda, from the United Arab Emirates.

Created by Cruzmaltino and Rio Under-15, Under-17 and Under-20 champion for the São Januário team, Cauan Lucas Barros da Luz, 19, from Pernambuco, arrives at Aurinegro on a one-year loan. In 2023, he played in the Brazilian Series A for Vasco and, this season, he played in two matches for Cariocão. It will be his first professional experience outside the club that trained him.

Born in Goiânia (GO), Pedro Henrique Pereira Viana, known as Pedro Bahia, is 22 years old. Unlike Barros, he arrives permanently at Amazonas after a short spell in football in the United Arab Emirates. A standout at Goiás’ youth team, the striker became a professional at Esmeraldino, but had little space among the professionals and is looking to resume his career at Onça.

Semifinal

Aurinegro returns to the field on Friday (16) to face Nacional, in a duel valid for the Barezão semifinal. The match takes place at 8pm, at Arena da Amazônia. Whoever advances will face the winner of the duel between Parintins x São Raimundo, who enter the field on Saturday (17), at the Francisco Garcia stadium, in Rio Preto da Eva.
