UFC returns to Rio de Janeiro on May 4th

The UFC announced last weekend the organization’s return to Rio de Janeiro. O UFC 301 will be held at Rioarena on May 4th. The event will be the UFC’s 12th on Rio de Janeiro. The last event in the capital of Rio de Janeiro, UFC 283, took place in January 2023 and featured two title fights. The more than 13 thousand fans at Rioarena on the occasion were able to watch exciting victories by Brazilian UFC prospects, such as Jailton Almeida and Gabriel Bonfim, and the retirement of MMA legends Mauricio Shogun and Glover Teixeira.

“We are very happy to return to Rio de Janeiro. Rio was the stage for historic UFC events and hosted some of the organization’s biggest stars such as Anderson Silva, Ronda Rousey, José Aldo and Amanda Nunes. UFC 301 will be the first UFC event in Brazil in 2024 and expectations are high. We expect a packed Rioarena in May”, said the senior vice president of UFC in Brazil, Eduardo Galetti.

Tickets for UFC 301 will be available from March 13th. UFC Fight Pass subscribers will have access to a pre-sale on March 11th. Fans can register to receive more information about the event at https://www.ufc.com.br/rio
