After 7 years away from the competition, Botafogo returns to the Libertadores

Botafogo begins this Wednesday (20), at 8:30 pm (Manaus time), its journey towards qualifying for the group stage of what is its main competition of the season, the Copa Libertadores da América. According to coach Tiago Nunes, Botafogo must respect their opponents, especially by playing their matches at altitude: “We have to respect Aurora. It’s a game at altitude, [é] different to play there. I know this because I spent a year playing there. The altitude deserves respect, it’s almost another sport to play there. You have to understand how to run the game well, be organized, to be able to bring a good result to our game at home, in front of the fans.”
Even with the defeat to Vasco as the last result, the Alvinegro commander should send to the field this Wednesday a formation very similar to the one he used in the classic: Gatito Fernández; Damián Suárez, Lucas Halter, Barboza and Hugo; Marlon Freitas, Tchê Tchê and Eduardo; Savarino, Victor Sá and Tiquinho Soares.
