The Passaporte para Vitória project, from the Léo Moura Institute, aims to generate opportunities for children and young people in their civic and socio-sporting training. Furthermore, it contributes to the development of athletes for professional football, as in the case of Fernanda Cardoso, from Laranjal do Jari, just 17 years old.

The Amapá native, who plays as a striker, was selected to join Grêmio’s base, in Porto Alegre (RS) and is already playing for the southern team. According to the coordinator of the project nucleus, in Laranjal do Jari, Eder Ferreira, she has always been a good student.

“We always emphasize that the player needs to have a base, because they demand a lot of that out there: a pass, a good shot, an attitude on the field, discipline and Fernanda has that. She lived far away and was the first to arrive. She is a dedicated student and the fruits are coming”, he said.

The athlete thanked everyone who gave her the opportunity to play football and make her dream come true. “I would like to thank the entire project committee for the opportunity they gave me and Senator Davi to make my dream come true. I tell those who dream of being professional players to train hard, stay focused and never give up on achieving what you want,” she said.

The mayor of Laranjal do Jari, Marcio Serrão, explains that the project is a gateway to provide athletes with opportunities to realize their dreams. “With this project, I am sure that from here in Laranjal, several athletes will still leave to do tests and be welcomed by big clubs”, said optimistically.

In Amapá, Passaporte Para Vitória has 20 active centers, in 16 municipalities. In 2022, Senator Davi Alcolumbre, responsible for bringing the project to the state, promised the creation of 10 more centers to serve boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 15.
