Auditor Mauro Marcelo de Lima e Silva, auditor of the Superior Court of Justice for Football (STJD), based in Rio de Janeiro, determined that the Amapaense Football Federation (FAF) reintegrate the affiliated Santos Futebol Clube into the professional football championship of 2024. The auditor’s decision was taken in the trial, on the 28th, of the Santos club’s appeal.

The Amapaense Football Federation, through Resolution 006/2024, suspended Santos Futebol Clube from all competitions promoted by it as a result of the club having appealed to the Common Court regarding possible irregularity in the FAF electoral process, a statutory-electoral matter that is not jurisdiction of the Sports Justice.

Without delving into the merits of the facts, but in light of what was required by the defense, the STJD auditor said that he was convinced of the verisimilitude of the club’s allegations and the likely irreparable damage or damage that would be difficult to repair, hence the granting of the suspensive effect requested to suspend the effectiveness of the mentioned resolution that suspended all state competitions.
