Brazilians Rebeca Andrade, 26, and Flávia Saraiva, 24, shared the podium with Simone Biles in the last stage of the World Artistic Gymnastics Championship, held this Sunday (8), in Antwerp, Belgium. They took silver and bronze, respectively, while the North American was the gold medalist.
Rebeca Andrade presented a sequence of well-defined movements and nailed arrivals, with extended pirouettes to the sound of a remix that mixed “End of Time!, by Beyonce, “Movimento da Sanfoninha”, by Anitta, and “Baile de Favela” by MC João The Brazilian achieved an average score of 14,500.
Flávia Saraiva, from Rio de Janeiro, performed to the sound of “Canto das Três Raças”, by Clara Nunes, with an applauded performance and two carpado mortals. She achieved an average score of 13,866 points and, after appealing to the jury, achieved 13,966.
North American Simone Biles had an average score of 14.633, with a series of movements considered difficult, to the sound of “Unicorn”. She even lost ten tenths when she stepped out in one of her submissions.
