Manaus (AM) – The Sports and Leisure Program in the Capital and Interior (Pelci) opens, next Monday (5), new registrations for vacancies in seven sports, for young people and children between 7 and 17 years old, in six centers in the interior of the state . The Amazonas Government program, coordinated by the Secretary of State for Sports and Leisure, offers an additional 4,440 vacancies this year in the capital and in the interior.

“The Government of Amazonas remains committed to promoting and developing sport throughout the state. Pelci has been a fundamental tool in revealing new talents and creating a legacy of sporting practices for future generations”,

said Jorge Oliveira, secretary of Sedel.

Pelci has six centers located in the interior of the state: Codajás, Envira, Fonte Boa, Humaitá, São Gabriel da Cachoeira and Tabatinga; the last two serve indigenous athletes of different ethnicities. The centers offer sports such as football, futsal, volleyball, basketball, speed skating, jiu-jitsu and handball.

Registration, in the interior and in the capital, will begin on February 5th and will continue until the 8th, during business hours. For guardians interested in enrolling children and young people at Pelci, they can go to the center of their choice with the following documents: ID of the athlete and guardian, proof of residence, declaration of education and 3×4 photo.
