Marcos Amaral announces departure from the board of directors of Paraná Clube

The entrepreneur Marcos Amaralwho had been serving as executive football advisor for the Paraná, announced on Wednesday night (14) his departure from the club. In a note, the director thanked Tricolor and highlighted its work.

“I would like to thank Paraná Clube, its fans, advisors, directors and president Rubens Ferreira for my return to the club in 2023. In total, I had the privilege of participating in six Brazilian Series B championships, and also having worked with several groups managers, which is very unusual in football. I hope that Paraná Clube continues its trajectory and returns to a prominent place among the greats of Paraná football”, highlights Amaral.

Marcos Amaral, an old acquaintance of Paranista fans, was announced as executive football advisor for Paraná in March last year. The professional was one of those directly responsible for assembling the team that ended up failing in the Access Division and failed to qualify for the elite of Paraná football.

Marcos Amaral had already sued Paraná in the past

Businessman Marcos Amaral was a partner of Paraná between the 2010 and 2015 seasons. On occasions, through his company, Amaral Sports, the professional worked on assembling squads for the Brazilian Championship Series B disputes.

In 2017, the businessman filed two lawsuits against Tricolor. In the first, Amaral charged R$682 thousand in loans made to Paraná. The second was related to the economic rights of three athletes who defended the club: midfielders Fernando Gabriel and Ronaldo Mendes, and striker Léo.

In 2020, an agreement worth R$1.6 million was made with the businessman, which would be paid in 32 installments. According to the OneTwo SportsParaná would have paid 26 installments and the remainder had been suspended, at the time, due to the coronavirus pandemic.
