Ifap presents proposal to host Federal Institutes Games, North stage – News of Brazil

The rector of the Federal Institute of Amapá (Ifap), Romaro Silva, the dean of Extension, Alyne Lima, and the coordinator of Studies, Monitoring and Institutional Diagnosis of the Planning Directorate (Diplan), Olavo Nylander, were received on Tuesday (5), at the Secretariat of Professional and Technological Education of the Ministry of Education (Setec/MEC). The issues discussed were the expansion of the Federal Network and the proposal for Ifap to host the Northern stage of the Federal Institutes Games (JIFs) in this year.

Regarding the expansion of the Federal Network, the Ifap delegation presented a feasibility study for the implementation of a new campus, which will be assessed by Setec/MEC. As for JIFs, the study and cost analysis for holding the sporting event were presented, which is scheduled for the period from August 26th to September 1st, 2024, with the participation of 700 students from the Federal Institutes of Acre, Amazonas, Pará, Rondônia, Roraima and Tocantins, in addition to Ifap itself.

“In 2024, 20 years after the first edition of JIFs – North Stage, Amapá will host the event for the first time. The games aim to integrate the delegations of Ifac/Acre, Ifap/Amapá, Ifam/ Amazonas, Ifpa/Pará, Ifro/Rondônia, Ifrr/ Roraima and Ifto/Tocantins, in addition to promoting a powerful socioeconomic synergy in the region. The study and cost analysis prepared by Ifap were presented. And now Setec will forward the request for assistance, to the competent sectors”explained pro-rector Alyne Lima.
