The Superior Court of Sports Justice (STJD) began the punishments related to the match-fixing case of “Operation Maximum Penalty”, of the Public Ministry of the State of Goiás (MP-GO).

In judgment of the 1st Disciplinary Commission this Monday (29), in the first instance, the body banned the player from football Romário, ex-Vila Nova, based on article 242 of the Brazilian Code of Sports Justice (CBJD). In addition, he will have to pay a fine of R$ 25,000.

Gabriel Domingos, who was also from Vila Nova, was suspended for 720 days and will have to pay a fine of R$ 15 thousand, based on article 243. The decisions can be appealed.

“The athlete Marcus Vinícius committed disciplinary infractions when he accepts and promises to third parties the advantage in discredit to his own association and, above all, to the fairness of football. in the articles of the CBJD”, said Miguel Cançado, auditor rapporteur of the process in the 1st Disciplinary Commission of the STJD.
