This is the first edition of Explora 2024, which takes place from 8am to 12pm, at the institution’s headquarters
Manaus (AM) – Faculdade Santa Teresa opens its doors this Saturday (02) for the community to participate in a series of free workshops in the areas of Gastronomy, Fashion, Architecture, Health and Psychology. The first edition of Explora 2024 takes place from 8am to 12pm, at the institution’s headquarters, at Rua Acre, 200, Nossa Senhora das Graças neighborhood.
Interested parties can register via the link and choose the workshops they wish to participate in. Among the activities available are the “Amazonian Cocktail” workshops, with chefs Márcio Gonzaga and Antônio Carlos and “Risotos Finos”, with chefs Bruno Leitão and Mansur Seffair.
In the area of Fashion Design, the course coordinator, Chris Basílio, will give tips on style analysis and image consultancy, reinforcing each individual’s strengths and self-esteem.
The community will also be able to participate in a workshop on breathing techniques to reduce stress and anxiety, taught by professor Danielle Salles. She will teach through mindfulness, a meditative practice that is currently widespread and helps improve everyday behaviors, helping to establish emotional regulation, reduce stress, pay full attention, among other behaviors.
For those interested in the area of Health, Professor Daniel Fagundes teaches the workshop “Notions of biosafety in clinics and offices”.
Explora 2024 will also feature workshops in the area of Architecture, such as “Thermal comfort for extremely hot environments”, with professor Andrezza Barboza. It will teach you in practice how to develop the design of an environment, evaluating aspects such as trees and the position of wind and sound in a given region. She exemplifies by saying that the position of the sun can be checked just by using a cell phone as a tool.
Also part of the program is the “Gardening practice for small areas at home”, with professor Roberth Aragão, who will teach you how to set up a small vegetable garden using species such as mint and basil. It will also give tips on the best types of fertilizer according to the species, and how to use drainage material for irrigation water. The Municipal Department of Environment and Sustainability (Semmas) is a partner in the activity and will be at the college with a stand donating 100 plant seedlings. Representatives from the secretariat will also speak about urban landscaping.
Also as part of the Architecture program, professor Maurício de Carvalho will teach a workshop on the use of colors and textures in project design.
