Defender returns to play for Athletico after almost two years

The defender Luan Patrick returned to acting for Athletico after almost two years. The 22-year-old got his first chance with Osorio in the 3-1 victory over São Joseense, last Sunday (25), for Paranaense. The defender has not played for Furacão since March 2022.

Revealed by Athletico, Luan Patrick debuted as a professional in 2021, playing in 11 matches. The following year, he played nine games for Athletico – the last match was against Cascavel in the 4-3, in the first phase of Paranaense, on March 6, 2022, almost two years ago.

Afterwards, he was loaned to América-MG for a semester. He returned to Rubro-Negro, but ended up going to Massa Bruta in 2023. In the interior of São Paulo, the defender had a streak at the beginning of the season, but was unable to establish himself.

This year, Furacão even tried to involve him in negotiating with Coelho for Mastriani. After staying at the club, he began training with Osorio’s squad and was registered for the State Championship last week.

The defender’s first opportunity, however, was in the position of first midfielder. The young man came on to replace Hugo Moura in the 17th minute of the second half. The tendency is for it to still be tested by the coach. Luan Patrick’s contract with Athletico is valid until December.

Athletico is classified in the quarterfinals of Paranaense and will face Londrina. The first leg is scheduled for Saturday (2), at 4pm, at Estádio do Café. The return match in Curitiba will be on Sunday (10), at 6:30pm.
