Coritiba integrates professional duo into the Copinha team

O Coritiba confirmed, this Thursday (18), that the defender Jean Pedroso and the attacker Kaio Cesar, both 19 years old, will join the squad competing in the São Paulo Junior Football Cup. Coxa is in the quarterfinals of the Copinha, after guarantee classification on penalties, on Wednesday, against Ibrachina.

In the next phase of the competition, Verdão faces Cruzeiro, this Friday (19), at 9 pm, at Arena Barueri, in Greater São Paulo. If they qualify for the semi-finals, Coritiba will face the winner of the duel between Flamengo and Aster.

Revealed in Coxa’s youth categories, Jean Pedroso and Kaio Cesar debuted in the club’s professional team last year. The defender played seven games, while the striker played 36 and scored three goals.

With the absence of the duo, Coritiba’s professional team makes its season debut this Thursday, against PSTC, at 8pm, at Couto Pereira.
