The historic sequence includes five victories in the Brazilian Championship (2018, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023) and four in the Copa Libertadores (2017, 2019, 2021 and 2023). There were also two glories in the Brazilian Super Cup (2022 and 2023).
Celebrating two days after seeing the men’s team defeat Bahia 5-1 on the same field, Fiel is now waiting to see what will become of the women’s team under new management. The elected president of Corinthians, Augusto Melo, was at the final and showed his support, but he does not have a good relationship with director Cris Gambaré.
The initial idea is to maintain it, because it is difficult to argue with the exceptional results obtained, but it will be necessary to cut corners. There is also uncertainty regarding the technical command, which was provisionally left to Rodrigo Iglesias at the end of 2023 – he will also be expected to permanently accompany Arthur Elias in the selection.
