Competitors of the Amapá Bodybuilding and Fitness Cup weigh in – News of Brazil

With support from Macapá City Hall, through the Municipal Department of Sports and Leisure (Semel), The weigh-in of the competitors for the 5th edition of the Amapá Bodybuilding and Fitness Cup took place this Friday (8).

According to the event coordinator and current Amapá and Pará bodybuilding champion, Sebastian Lima, Professional men and women, amateurs and supporters of the sport participated in this first moment. “The weigh-in is the first moment for competitors to participate in the event on a regular basis. There are men and women who will take the stage to compete in different modalities”, highlighted Sebastian.

The competition is scheduled for Saturday (9) at 5pm, in the auditorium of the Micro and Small Business Support Service of Amapá (Sebrae). It will have presentations within four categories: bikini wellness, men’s physique, classic physique and bodybuilder.

During the presentations, the judges will evaluate the body symmetry, density and muscle filling of each participant. The winners will be awarded trophies and medals.

Women are increasingly present in this activity. Like the athlete, Mel Costa, who has been practicing the sport for 10 years and is a champion of Amapá and Pará titles. “I am a mother of 4 children and bodybuilding is discipline and well-being in my life and that of my family. It was a sport that I identified with and I am proud to participate in this competition.”commented Mel.
