Athletico stands out in revenue from South American tournaments

O Athletico It is the fourth Brazilian club that raised the most in prize money from competitions organized by Conmebol in the last five years. In total, there are US$34.45 million (R$168.9 million).

The data comes from research carried out by Pluri Sports, a company specializing in football numbers. The club is only behind Palmeiras, Flamengo and Fluminense in the ranking. (see below).

The 2022 seasons stand out, when they obtained US$ 14.35 million with the runner-up of the Libertadores, and 2021, with US$6.80 million obtained by winning the Sudamericana title. During this period, Athletico was runner-up in the Recopa in 2019 and 2022”, says an excerpt from the research.
