Atlético-MG announced this Sunday (11) the departure of coach Eduardo Coudet, 48, from the command of the team, one day after the 1-1 draw with Red Bull Bragantino, for the 10th round of the Brazilian Championship.

In a note, the club from Minas Gerais says that the coach communicated the decision to leave the club after the match at the Mineirão stadium, in Belo Horizonte.

Coudet had taken charge of the Minas Gerais team in January of this year and had a contract until the end of 2024. The club did not comment on the fine.

During these six months, Coudet led Atlético-MG in 35 games, with 21 wins, six defeats and eight draws. He was champion of Minas Gerais and left the team close to qualifying for the round of 16 of the Libertadores.

However, the pressure on his work began to increase after the complicated start in the South American competition, when the team was defeated in the first two games. And it got bigger with the elimination to Corinthians in the Copa do Brasil, when it entered the second game and could lose by a goal difference, but was defeated by 2 to 0 and eliminated on penalties.

Atlético-MG will play again on June 21, against Fluminense, for the Brazilian Championship.
