On the last day of competitions, the Brazilian athletics team won five more medals (two golds, two silvers and one bronze) and ended its participation with 15 medals, in sixth place in the overall medal table – the country participated with only eight athletes .

In addition to Beth Gomes’ gold, his second in the competition, São Paulo’s André Rocha was the other Brazilian to take the highest place on the podium on the day. In the discus throw competition for the F52 class (wheelchair users), he reached 18.68m.

The two silver medals came to Wanna de Oliveira, from the F32 class (cerebral palsy), who did 21.14m in the club throw, and Lorraine Aguiar, from the T12 class (visual impairment), who ran the 400m race in 1min00s54.
