The information was given this Monday morning, 13, by the municipal secretary of works and urban infrastructure, Cassio Cruz. He said that 90% of the work has already been completed, with just a few parts missing that concern Glicério Marques himself, since the multi-sport center project did not originally contemplate the use of the stadium.
Responding to demands from the football community in Amapa, the mayor Antonio Furlan authorized the multi-sports center project to also involve the football field and its surroundings to continue functioning as before, including championship games and friendly matches.
the secretary Cross also informed that the playing field of the Glicério de Souza Marques stadium is already covered with differentiated synthetic grass, only remaining to lift the stands, paint the external wall and deal with the lighting, services that were not foreseen in the original project funded by parliamentary amendments.
“During this week we are going to meet with the mayor Doctor Furlan to find a way for the Municipal Treasury to pay for the little work that is still missing”, concluded the secretary. The multi-sports center, in addition to the stadium, will be equipped with spaces for fights, dancing, swimming, skateboarding and running, among other activities.
