Bento, from Athletico, is called up to the national team for the first time

The call-up is for the games against Bolivia, on September 8, in Belém, and Peru, on September 12, in Lima.

The two good seasons as Athletico’s starter, with outstanding performances, accredited the goalkeeper to the selection’s main squad. Coach Ramon Menezes, who was in charge of the main team, had already admitted that Bento was on the radar.

With the call-up, Bento will be absent in the duel against Flamengo on September 13, Wednesday, at 9:30 pm, in Maracanã, for the 23rd round.
