Fernando Diniz calls up the Brazilian National Team for the Qualifiers debut – News of Brazil

The coach of the Brazilian Men’s National Team, Fernando Diniz, called, this Friday (18), the 23 players to dispute the first two rounds of the World Cup Qualifiers.

The first game will be against Bolivia, on September 8th, at Mangueirão, in Belém, Pará. Peru will be the second opponent on the 12th, in Lima.

At the press conference, Fernando Diniz stated that it is a dream to have made the list of the 23 summoned and had the intention of combining aesthetics and beauty in the Selection. “I will continue what I think about football. With the addition of having the best raw material in the world. It’s a dream for me. It will be very rich for my growth to be here. The chance of this happening is very high. I have a very strong relationship with the players. My life in the national team depends on the desire of the players. It’s a continuation of what I’ve been doing in my career. Try to make a competitive game that has aesthetics and beauty. That has to do with our roots in the Brazilian way of playing football.”said the trainer.

“The objective is, clearly, to be a competitive team, with the characteristics that I consider most important. Creativity, competitiveness and solidary way of playing football will always be present”completed.

Full-back Caio Henrique and goalkeeper Bento are newcomers to the national team. Striker Neymar was called up for the first time after the World Cup dispute.

“Regarding Neymar, we had a conversation. Obviously Europe’s competitiveness is one thing and Saudi Arabia can be another. We don’t know how it’s going to be. Neymar really wants to write those beautiful pages that are missing in his history as a player. This will will be able to overcome any difficulty regarding Saudi Arabia’s competitiveness.”said the trainer.

Diniz made the call alongside three members of his technical commission: assistant Eduardo Barros and physical trainers Marcos Seixas and Wagner Bertelli.

Fernando Diniz explained how he plans his work in the Qualifiers. “I’m going to do what I’ve always done when I arrive at clubs. Try to put the ideas one at a time. Gradually the team understands what I want. The technical quality we have is sensational. Players have the habit of playing, almost always, in a positional way, different from what I like. But I believe they will adapt quickly”, said the coach.

“I feel very happy to be here. Comfortable, honored and confident of the work we will accomplish together”he added.
