The Italian renewed with the club until 2026 saying goodbye to his dream of coaching the Brazilian national team
Italian Carlo Ancelotti will not coach the Brazilian team, the coach renewed his contract with Real Madrid until June 2026. The new agreement was announced this Friday (29) by the Spanish club.
In a statement on the official website, Real praised Ancelotti’s successful career spanning five seasons where he won 10 titles with the club. In July, Ednaldo Rodrigues, president of the CBF at the time and now removed from office, went so far as to secure the hiring of the Italian while announcing Fernando Diniz, coach of Fluminense, as interim commander for the start of the South American qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup. However, several Spanish vehicles have already reported that Real would renew the Italian coach at the turn of the year, which actually happened.
Brazilian fans reacted in a tone of irony on social media after Anceloti’s confirmation at Real, all because the CBF saw the signing of the Italian from 2024 as certain.
