Manaus (AM) – Amazonas FC continues to strengthen itself for the 2024 season. This Tuesday (30), the club officially announced the arrival of Argentine defender Iván Alvariño, who belongs to Boca Juniors-ARG and arrives on loan. The defender arrives at the Aurinegro team after wearing the Guarani shirt in the last edition of Series B of the Brazilian Championship. The bond with the Jaguar lasts one year.
“I’m very happy to be here in Amazonas, to get to know the club and the people here. It’s good to be able to count on companions who speak the same language. In the past I was at Guarani with colleagues who spoke Spanish and that helped a lot”,
explained the defender, who will be joined by Paraguayan Jorge Jiménez, Argentine Diego Torres and Spaniard Mauro Bravo.
Alexis Iván Alvariño is 22 years old and was born in Gregorio de Laferrere, a city located in the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Revealed by Boca Juniors, he played only once for Xeneize and played for Guarani-SP in the last two seasons, a club for which he played 27 matches. For Aurinegro, he will compete in his third Series B of his career.

Looking for their first victory of the season and reinforced by the Argentine defender, Amazonas faces Rio Negro on Saturday (3), at 3:30 pm, at the Carlos Zamith stadium, in a duel valid for the penultimate round of the first round of Barezão 2024.
