O Coritiba announced, this Wednesday (3), that he terminated the contract with the striker Rodrigo Pinho. The club announced that the decision was by mutual agreement.

Pinho had a valid contract with Coxa until June 2025. The 32-year-old striker arrived at the club at the end of 2022 as the great hope for goals for Serie A. Coritiba paid 500 thousand euros to Benfica-POR.

The center forward had a good start to the year, with five goals against Paranaense, but his production dropped, he lost space and had a disastrous Brasileirão – just like the club. Pinho did not score any goals in the competition, taking just three shots on goal in ten matches.

Still in August, under the command of Thiago Kosloski, it was no longer part of the plans. Coritiba tried to negotiate him, but without success. With mutual termination, the athlete is free on the market.

Coritiba presents itself for the 2024 season on Saturday (6), at CT da Graciosa. The debut will be against PSTC, on the 18th, a Thursday, at 8:30 pm, at Couto Pereira, for the first round of the Paranaense Championship.
