After Coritiba’s defeat, Cianorte fires coach Zé Roberto

After conceding four goals from Coritiba at home, this Sunday (3), the Cianorte fired the technician Zé Roberto and the assistant Antonio Costa. The team lost 4-0 to Alviverde in the first game of the quarterfinals of the Paraná Championshipat the Albino Turbay Stadium.

The coach has been at Leão do Vale since September 2023 and leaves the team after twelve matches, four wins, two draws and six defeats.

With the result, the team from the interior is practically eliminated from the State Championship, as they need to score more than four goals in the return game, away from home. In a bad phase, Cianorte has accumulated five games without winning, including the elimination in the first phase of the Copa do Brasil, against Corinthians.

The return duel with Coritiba for the quarter-finals will be on Saturday (9), at 4pm, at Couto Pereira.
