Closing the fourth round of the Amapaense Football Championship, Ypiranga dreamed again of qualifying for the next phase of the competition and, who knows, the Amapaense title. Clube da Torre thrashed Santana by 5X1, at Estádio Zerão, in a match valid for the fourth round of Amapazão.
With this result, Ypiranga rises to fourth place, with five points and a possible classification for the next phase. Santana, on the other hand, was parked in seventh place with just one point and the possible elimination of the competition.
The two clubs entered the field with the intention of winning and qualifying for the second phase of the competition. In the first half, Ypiranga showed what they came for and opened the scoring, in the 8th minute, with a goal by Mateus. Negro Anil’s second came right after, at 9 minutes, with Gustavo. Santana managed to reduce the score after 12 minutes, with Roniel. Before the end of the half of the game, Alex extended the scoreboard, in the 46th minute.
In the second half, Canário would need to seek a tie, but could not endanger the opponent’s goal. Ypiranga took the opportunity to score the fourth goal, in the 08th minute, with Caio Vinicius and closed the rout with Gustavo, again, scoring the fifth and last goal of the game.
Canário’s next match is against fellow countryman and leader of the competition, Independente, on June 9th. Ypiranga faces vice-leader Trem, on June 28th. Both games are at 8 pm, at Estádio Zerão and valid for the fifth round of Amapazão.
