Where to watch Brasileirão, Libertadores and other 2024 tournaments

Football lovers can expect a lot of excitement in 2024, with varied options to closely follow the biggest regional, national and international championships. Brasileirão, Libertadores, Champions League and other competitions promise to shake up the football world. There are already fans who miss it. Furthermore, next year’s calendar will be special as it brings together teams in duels from Copa America and from Eurocupbeyond the Paris Olympic Games.

With that in mind, the Estadão prepared a guide on where to watch the main football championships next season, from open TV to streaming services.

COPINHA

The São Paulo Junior Football Cup starts right after the turn of the year, on January 2nd. The 2024 Copinha will be broadcast by Globo, on open television, and SporTV, on closed television. On YouTube, the official channels of Paulistão and Futebol Paulista broadcast the games, in addition to CazéTV.

PAULISTA

Scheduled to start on January 20th, Paulistão will be shown by Record on open TV and by TNT on closed TV. Free broadcasts on YouTube will now be handled by CazéTV. Influencer Casimiro Miguel’s channel will have 16 matches, including the finals. Finally, HBO Max will show the championship on streaming.

FROM RIO

The Campeonato Carioca will be on open TV and on YouTube. Band continues as the official broadcaster of the competition next year. The novelty of this edition is that the GOAT Channel will be an alternative to watch the matches for free online from 2024 onwards.

BRAZIL’S CUP

Last year, Grupo Globo renewed the contract with CBF to broadcast the Copa do Brasil until 2026. This way, it will be possible to follow the games on TV Globo (open TV) and SporTV (closed TV). The Amazon Prime Video streaming service will also show the tournament live.

BRAZILIAN

As usual, TV Globo will be the home of the Brazilian Championship on open TV in 2024. In the main Brazilian football competition, which starts in April, SporTV (closed TV) and Premiere (pay-per-view) broadcast the majority of matches . Athletico-PR will be able to host its games again on YouTube and Twitch, but there is still no definition with CazéTV. The Marinho family broadcaster announced a series of partners for football next season.

BRAZIL SUPERCUP

The final between Palmeiras (Brazilian champion) and São Paulo (Brazilian Cup champion), which will decide the title of the Brazilian Super Cup, will be held on February 3rd. The location of Choque-Rei, however, has not yet been determined. The transmission will be carried out by TV Globo (open TV) and SporTV (closed TV).

LIBERATORS

This year, TV Globo, on open TV, and ESPN, on closed TV, will broadcast the Libertadores matches. Furthermore, the dispute for Eternal Glory will also be on Star+ and Paramount+ screens. Fluminense, São Paulo, Palmeiras, Grêmio, Atlético-MG, Flamengo, Botafogo and Red Bull Bragantino will be the Brazilian representatives in 2024.

SOUTH AMERICAN CUP

The second most important continental competition in South America, the Copa Sudamericana, will have its games broadcast by SBT (open TV), ESPN (closed TV) and Star+ and Paramount+ (streaming). Athletico Paranaense, Internacional, Fortaleza, Cuiabá, Corinthians and Cruzeiro will be the Brazilian representatives next year.

SOUTH AMERICAN RECUP

ESPN (closed TV) and Star+ and Paramount+ (streaming) will be the options to watch the Recopa Sul-Americana, on February 21st and 28th, between Fluminense (Libertadores champion) and LDU (Sudamericana champion).

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

In relation to the Champions League, which will enter the knockout phase in 2024, the broadcasting rights on open TV remain with SBT. The same goes for Warner Bros. platforms. Discovery, which will show the Champions League on the TNT and Space channels and on the HBO Max streaming service.

CUP AMERICA

Grupo Globo guaranteed the exclusive broadcast of the next edition of the Copa América, played in the United States between the months of June and July. This way, SporTV will show all 32 games of the competition, and TV Globo will have eight matches, of course, all from the Brazilian team.

EUROCOPA

Globo will show 26 matches from Euro 2024, 25 of which will be exclusive plus the final. SporTV will have all the games, along with Globoplay and Ge, while TV Globo will include five matches in its schedule. On YouTube and Twitch, it will be shown on CazéTV.
