Vegetti is Vasco’s eighth signing in the middle of the season, in addition to Argentine coach Ramón Díaz

This Saturday, Vasco presented Argentine striker Pablo Vegetti, 34 years old. He is one of the main reinforcements of the team, which is in the last place of the Brazilian Championship. “I like to accept challenges. Vasco is going through a moment that is not the best and I came to put the team where it deserves to be”, said Vegetti, who was top scorer in the last Argentine Championship for Belgrano.

“You will find a player who gives himself to the maximum both in training and in each match. I’m an area striker who has a lot of ambition for the goal, but I also like to help my teammates. I’ll do what the coach asks. The best way to get the club out of this moment is to keep ourselves at a good level and to all work towards the same goal.”

said the Argentine.

Vegetti is Vasco’s eighth signing in the middle of the season, in addition to Argentine coach Ramón Díaz. Before him, the club announced the arrival of left-back Jefferson, forwards Sebastían Ferreira and Serginho, defender Maicon, and midfielders Medel, Praxedes and Paulinho.

WITHOUT CROWD

Vasco issued a note on its official page complaining about the Justice’s decision to keep the São Januário stadium closed to the public, even women, children and people with disabilities. The club from Rio was trying to get fans already for the duel against Grêmio, this Sunday, for the Brasileiro.

“Vasco da Gama is in an unacceptable and sui generis condition: its stadium is the first in Brazil to be prevented from holding a match in these characteristics (only with women, children and people with disabilities) and is today the only club in the Série A with a stadium released by the Sports Court and interdicted by the State Court, with no deadline for reopening, even with more serious incidents having been recorded in other sports venues. Since the regrettable incidents in the Vasco vs Goiás match, last June, the São Januário Stadium and the communities located in its surroundings have been the target of prejudiced and elitist attacks”

wrote the club.

“Our stadium is indeed, and with great pride, located in Barreira do Vasco and close to Morro do Tuiutí and the community of Arará and this does not generate violence or bring insecurity for the public. On the contrary, it is notorious that Barreira do Vasco offers the best and most authentic pre-match in Brazil, which attracts fans from all over the country”

said the note.
