Trans woman talks about gender ideology to children in Mato Grosso

A speech given to students aged approximately 10 years at a public basic education school in the Cuiabá region, in Mato Grosso, was questioned by parliamentarians last Tuesday (26). In a video, with repercussions on social media, a trans woman explains to children that gender can be constructed over time and that anyone who wants can have relationships with people of the same sex.

“They want to indoctrinate our children in schools in any way,” criticized federal deputy Amalia Barros (MT-PL), when republishing the video that shows the trans employee as she spoke to the children who were lined up in the institution’s courtyard. .

“We need to understand that there are boys and girls and that this can be built over time”, says the trans woman, wearing a dress, in the recording. “When I was born, I was born male, everyone already knows. However, as I grew up, I realized that I did not identify as a boy. I liked girly things,” she continued, explaining that students needed to respect people like her.

“If a boy likes another boy, if a girl likes another girl or if she likes a boy and a girl, who does it matter to? Only to himself, only to herself and to anyone who wants to have a relationship with him or her”, he said.

In the exhibition, the employee also compares the case to freedom of religion when asking students whether “it would be right to enter a temple because I am evangelical or Catholic and throw stones and break everything”. The students respond “no,” and hear her state that jokes about gays, lesbians or trans people are subject to serious punishment.

“If you do this, your parents can be punished with imprisonment for one to five years because it is serious,” he emphasized. “Boys with masculine bodies who wear dresses and who speak like women must be respected and are not a laughing matter,” she warned.

The speech to children was denounced by parliamentarians

The statements bothered deputies and some parents, mainly because they were directed at children, who were still in training. “I will file a request for a motion to repudiate the education committee,” he promised.

State deputy Gilberto Cattani (PL), from Mato Grosso, also spoke out on social media, promising to file a complaint with the State Public Ministry and ask the Department of Education to take action. “In Mato Grosso we will not allow indoctrination in schools to go unpunished”, he guaranteed.

Mato Grosso deputy Elizeu Nascimento (PL) questioned the parents about the situation. “Are you, father, satisfied with this type of teaching that your child receives at school?”, he asked on his Instagram page. “As a state deputy, military officer and representative of the population, I repudiate these images,” he wrote, warning that it cannot be accepted “that children become hostages of ideology within a school environment.”

City Hall claims the incident was “isolated”

Várzea Grande City Hall, where the case was registered, issued an official statement stating that it does not practice gender ideology in any of its departments or municipal bodies. In the statement, he explains that the incident was “isolated”, being the “manifestation of a professional in the field of Education”.

The city hall also stated that it was “against any type of discrimination based on race, color, creed or any public demonstration” on the subject in the city’s schools, and promised to seek “due clarification of the facts, which would have been motivated by the discriminatory treatment against the professional of education and against some students”.
