Trem Desportivo Clube said goodbye to the Copa Verde, after losing to Remo 3×1, this Thursday (07), at the Baenão Stadium, in Belém. The match marked the debut of Leão’s coach, Gustavo Morínigo.

The Azulina team advanced to the next stage with goals from Felipinho, Ribamar and Kanu. Locomotiva’s goal was scored by Daniel Felipe. Now, the red-black team from Amapá turns to the Amapá championship, at the moment.

The game

After just six minutes, Clube do Remo opened the scoring with Felipinho. After the goal, the team suffered a loss in defense, with the departure of Ícaro, who felt pain and was replaced by Reniê. Minutes later, another unexpected change, with Marco Antônio leaving, also feeling pain, to take Echaporã’s turn. The attacking midfielder also received a yellow card from the referee.

After the changes, Remo controlled possession of the ball, working hard in midfield and sometimes advancing into the penalty area. With clear dominance, the Azulinos pressed from all sides. At 30, the ball was raised in the Trem area and defender Daniel Felipe headed it, almost scoring an own goal. In the next move, Felipinho made a beautiful move and left Echaporã facing the goal, but the attacker finished over goalkeeper Vitor Luiz.

The most dangerous move made by Trem was in the 41st minute, when Foguete received a good ball in the middle and released a strong low shot, which was saved by Marcelo Rangel. Shortly afterwards, the visiting team arrived in the area and Rangel again, in two halves, stifled the attack. At 50, referee Jonathan Antero Silva ended the first stage with a partial victory by 1-0.

Despite their efforts, Remo made a mistake in their defensive system, which resulted in a penalty being awarded against the home team. Daniel went for the ball, waited for Rangel to position himself and filled the net, tying the match at Baenão. As soon as Trem got excited about the draw, Remo took the lead again on the scoreboard, with a goal from Ribamar, in the 11th minute, after an assist from Felipinho.

The new advantage made the Azulino team more comfortable on the field, with the attack being well activated, while the defense closed to avoid Trem’s attacks. At 16, Trem pressed with Foguete, who arrived close to the area and risked another strong shot, stifled by Rangel’s defense. Morínigo then decided to make some more changes to the team, placing Kanu and Kelvin in Ribamar and Felipinho’s places.
