Manaus (AM) – The judge and president of the Court of Justice of Amazonas (TJAM), Nélia Caminha Jorge, suspended the preliminary decision of judge Cezar Luiz Bandiera, who requested the president of the State Court of Auditors (TCE), Érico Desterro, to make it an agenda, in this Tuesday (31), the demand from counselor Júlio Pinheiro for the removal of counselor Ari Moutinho Jr., who is accused of attacking fellow counselor Yara Lins.

Nélia justified that the sentence violates public order and interferes with another Power, the principle of separation between powers and interfering in internal issues of the TCE.

Counselor Yara Lins, elected president of the State Court of Auditors (TCE-AM), denounced verbal attacks that were allegedly made by counselor Ari Moutinho, a colleague in power at the Court of Auditors. The case occurred during a Special Session held at the beginning of the month, in Manaus.

The complaint was formalized on the 6th, at the General Civil Police Station. She then called a press conference where she explained the insults she suffered moments before the election.

Yara stated that she greeted counselor Ari Moutinho, he responded, according to her, using profanity. The attacks occurred while she was in the plenary, in the presence of several witnesses.

“I said good morning. He replied, good morning, nothing, whore, naughty, bitch. I’m going to fuck you, because I did the same to Lindora at the Public Ministry, you’ll see it at the STJ”, reported Yara.

The president of TCE-AM made the complaint accompanied by the elected vice-president of the TCE, Luís Fabian Barbosa, the elected magistrate, Josué Neto, and her son, federal deputy Fausto Jr.

The lawyer representing Yara Lins, Catarina Estrela, emphasized that the counselor acted as if he did not accept having lost the election of president to a woman and that he said he was fluent in Brasília to harm the career of the president counselor within the Court of Auditors of Amazonas .

“I’m not afraid of men. I am only afraid of God and I already trust His Justice a lot, but I also trust the press and the authorities of my state and I know that measures will be imposed regarding the crime that happened to me within the TCE”, said the president.

Yara was elected the first woman to assume the presidency of the Amazonas Court of Auditors 6 years ago. She was chosen by 5 votes to 2, to command the Court of Auditors for the next two years (2024-2025), during a Special Session held shortly after the 34th Session of the Full Court.
