After seeing the Coritiba mathematically relegated to Série B, the question that Thiago Kosloski answered most after the defeat to Fluminense was in relation to the future. When asked by the press about his continuity in command, the coach preferred to leave the future in the hands of the board. He has a contract with the club until the end of 2024.

“About the future, I have a contract. If the board understands why I won’t continue, I swear that I will leave with my head completely held high and with the feeling of duty accomplished, that I tried to do my best within what I could, always thinking about the best for Coritiba”, he said at a press conference.

Taking office at the end of July, Koloski explained that no conversations took place between the parties during the final stretch of the championship, when Coxa was trying to get out of the relegation zone and escape the drop. He also assured that he has a good relationship with the board, citing Carlos Amodeo, the club’s CEO, and Artur Moraes, head of sports.

“Our relationship is the best possible, it has always been eye to eye. They are the people who are closest, we have always had a lot of truth. I think this conversation didn’t even happen because it couldn’t have, because we had a chance to escape. I didn’t even have head to think about 2024, and they also had no reason to come and talk to me, because we hadn’t delivered the points. It’s a situation that neither there nor here would be interesting to have this conversation. From Monday (27th), then yes , if the board chooses for me to continue, it’s time to sit down and review, especially about the formation of the squad, and already thinking about the Paraná Championship. We have to come strong and respond to the fans as soon as possible.”

During the press conference after the defeat to Fluminense, Artur informed that Amodeo will hold a press conference this Monday (27), at Couto Pereira. One of the topics discussed will certainly be whether or not Kosloski will continue as head of Coxa in 2024.
