The appointment of Ricardo Torres to the TCM (Municipal Court of Auditors) of São Paulo is a victory for the capital’s PSDB.
The current finance secretary of the municipality was in the circle of friends of former mayor Bruno Covas and is affiliated with the party. To take office, he will have to leave the caption.
This Friday (16), Mayor Ricardo Nunes consulted the mayor, Milton Leite (União Brasil), and decided to nominate Ricardo Torres, his Treasury Secretary, to the TCM, as shown by the Metrópoles website. The choice was a consensus of the two and removed from the dispute Marcela Arruda, Secretary of Management.
Nunes gave up her favorite for the vacancy, who, if nominated, would become the first counselor in the history of TCM. The withdrawal of Marcela’s name from the dispute was a gesture from the mayor to Leite, who did not want her in the vacancy because he understood that she lacked political experience.
