Swimming athlete from Amazonas goes to the Festival Norte Nordeste de Clubes Mirim Petiz in PB

João Pessoa (PB) – Swimming athlete, Amanda Ferreira, 10 years old, will represent the Sesi Clube do Trabalhador do Amazonas at the Festival CBDA Norte Nordeste Mirim Petiz 2º Sem/23, on the 20th and 21st of October in João Pessoa (PB).

The competition is part of the official calendar of the Brazilian Water Sports Confederation (CBDA). Amanda will compete in the 50/100 and 200 meter categories, in the freestyle and backstroke categories. In the national ranking of the 50 meter backstroke, the athlete holds the time of 00:41:13, which gave her 2nd place at the Festival Amazonense de Mirim Petiz 2023, in Amazonas (AM), in August.

Amanda goes to the competition, accompanied by the Physical Education professional and trainer from the Industrial Social Service (Sesi Amazonas), Clemilson da Mata, and her mother, Zuila Ferrerra. Hosted at the Vila Olímpica Parahyba water park, the event on the 19th and 20th will have a program, in which teams will have the opportunity to explore the pool, participate in the technical conference and watch the opening parade. The tests will take place in the morning and afternoon.

Zuila does not hide the pride she feels for her daughter who is going to the competition. She reveals that she feels grateful to God and FIEAM for trusting and supporting the competitor who will represent Sesi Amazonas at the CBDA Norte Nordeste Festival. She highlights that the athlete is preparing to do her best at the festival and return home with medals.
