Investigations continue in five states and the Federal District

The team assigned to provide security during the administration of tests for the National High School Examination (Enem) has already identified eight people who leaked the question booklet for the first test, held on the 5th. The information was released this Sunday (12) , by the National Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (Inep), responsible for preparing the exam.

According to Inep, photographs showing the questions on the test were detected through monitoring by the Ministry of Education (MEC) and the institute, which called the Federal Police to investigate the case. The corporation concluded that there is no information about posting test content before the start of the test.

The PF has already collected statements from the people who committed the irregularities in the municipalities of Caruaru (PE), Natal, Cornélio Procópio (PR) and Brasília. Furthermore, investigations continue in Rio Grande do Sul and Ceará.

“The operation also seized materials suspected of being used to commit exam fraud in Maceió (AL) and Vitória da Conquista (BA). The companies responsible for managing social media were made official to preserve images of evidence and assist with tracking posts,”

added Inep, in a note.

Security

The security scheme surrounding Enem ranges from the storage of tests to the distribution of bags, which are eventually also monitored by MEC authorities. The National Secretariat of Public Security (Senasp), linked to the Ministry of Justice and Public Security, is responsible for coordinating institutions participating in national or regional operations.

In the states, monitoring of Operation Enem 2023 is carried out by security forces, their respective public security secretariats or similar structures. Each body acts within its legal attribution.

In the early afternoon of today, the Minister of Education, Camilo Santana, appeared, around noon, at the Inep headquarters, to monitor the progress of the administration of the tests and the performance of the institute’s technicians, where he met the president of the municipality, Manuel Palácios.

“All the bags are already at the test sites and in a little while, at 12 pm, the gates will be open. I wish everyone a great test!”, wrote the minister, on his account on the social network X.
