The Civil Police Union (Sinpol) do Amapá confirmed the show by the Bahian band Olodum at the IV Corrida de Rua in celebration of Civil Police Day – April 21st.

In an interview with the LuizMelo program, this Tuesday, 12th, Alexandre Verçosa, president of Sinpol, said that an extensive program is being planned.

“It will be a whole month of celebration. We will have a football tournament, a shooting tournament, lectures, courses and we will finish with this great street race, which is the first in the state to feature a national attraction”said Verçosa.

Registration for the race began last week. Only two thousand places are available. This year there is also something new on the route.

“It will be six kilometers. We will pass through the Duca Serra viaduct, along Rodovia do Centenário. Our participants can run, walk, alternate between running and walking. The important thing is to participate in this party”explained Alexandre.

The prizes will be according to the categories. However, the union president said that the trophies, medals, shirts and squeeze bottles will allude to one of the city’s main tourist attractions: Ecuador’s Marco Zero Monument.

The start will be in front of the union headquarters, which is on Avenida Cora de Carvalho, in the Santa Rita neighborhood, in Macapá, and will return to the same place.

Registration is only being carried out online, via the link HTTPS://esporteriedade.com.br/ivriedadederuadapoliciacivil-ap2024. The prices are R$90 for the general public and R$45 for union members, plus the website fee.

Among many objectives, the event aims to encourage the practice of physical activity, in addition to bringing society closer to the institution.
