Between the 23rd and 25th of February, Amapá will host the second edition of the Master Tournament in the Middle of the World Basketball. The event is promoted by the coordinator of the Brazilian Master Basketball Federation (FBBM) in the 45+ category, Jalena Pinon from Amapá.
In the 2024 edition, there will be games in the 35+, 40+ and 50+ categories for men and 30+ for women, totaling 12 teams. The games will be at the Avertino Ramos Gymnasium and on the Santina Rioli School court, with free entry. The winning teams will receive medals and trophies.
“The medals and trophies will be different, new. They are being produced with great care”said the event coordinator, Jalena Pinon.
The event, which receives support from the Government of Amapá and several private companies, will have the special participation of the master athlete “RATTO”, who is a former Flamengo and Brazilian Basketball Team player and elected MVP of the last World Master Basketball Championship, held in Mar del Plata, Argentina, in 2023.
