Macapá City Hall delivered on Friday (5) the Sports Complex, Community Center and Family Space in the São José Housing Complex, in the South Zone of the capital. The delivery marks the 128th project carried out during the three years of municipal management.
The site has more than two thousand square meters of built area and received an investment of R$ 1,438,772.19 appeal from the Senator’s parliamentary amendment Lucas Barreto, plus compensation from the Municipal Treasury.
The reconstruction included four courts: two multi-sports courts; one for basketball and one for volleyball, in addition to the Community Center and an outdoor gym. The area surrounding the area received the installation of fences; lighting; lawn; paving; trash cans; landscaping and living area with benches and hopscotch.
The Family Space has dominoes, futmesa, chess and ping-pong tables; balance sheets; playground; toys for people with disabilities (PCD) and slide.
The reconstruction of the Community Center, Sports Complex and construction of the Family Space were scheduled to take 120 days, but were delivered by the Chief Executive, Dr. Furlan, in 77 days.
“Another leisure space being delivered to residents, a place to promote sport, culture and recreational activities. This place represents the guarantee of fun and happiness for the community”he said Dr. Furlan, mayor of Macapá.
Carlos Brito, resident of Habitacional São José, expressed joy with the delivery of this space dedicated to leisure and sport. Furthermore, he stressed that residents need to take care of and look after public property.
“This space is a guarantee of leisure for people who live in Habitacional São José. A court for volleyball and basketball is being provided; The children will be able to enjoy an afternoon of leisure in this complex”he highlighted.
The reconstruction of the fun and entertainment space was supported by a parliamentary amendment from the senator Lucas Barreto. “The families of Conjunto São José are being presented with a space for sports and leisure recreation. This place will be another fun and entertainment option for Habitacional residents.”he said.
