Robson evaluates top scorer phase and talks about renewal

top scorer Coritiba and Brazil this season, the striker Robson started conversations to renew with Alviverde. The number 30 spoke about the moment of his career this Thursday (7), in an interview with journalists and female fans only, at CT da Graciosa.

“I have a contract until the end of the year, I’ve already had a chat with the president about it. We’re aligning ourselves. I feel at home here, I like the club and the city. I hope we can resolve things as quickly as possible and I stay here”, said the player.

Nicknamed “The Inevitable” by the Coxa fans, Robson spoke about the goalscoring moment he is experiencing for Coxa and thanked the fans for their affection. In 12 games, he scored 11 goals.

Robson, Coxa’s top scorer

“I’m really happy with the moment I’m living in. I feel at home, I really like the club and all the people. It’s nice to hear the love from the fans. I never imagined being Brazil’s top scorer. I’m enjoying it, but with feet on the ground. There’s a lot of water to roll around”, he said.

Alviverde has the third most powerful attack among teams in Series A and B this year. In the first 13 games of the year, the team scored 28 goals.

Last Sunday (3), in the 4-0 victory against Cianorte in the quarter-finals of the Paranaense Championship, striker Leandro Damião debuted and completed what should be “the face” of Coxa’s attack this season: an offensive quartet formed by Matheus Frizzo, Robson, Figueiredo and number 9.

During the interview, Robson also talked about his co-stars.

“It’s hard not to praise my teammates. I’m scoring because of them. It’s been cool, the guys are closing in, creating a bond. It’s really a family thing. They’re great players, they have great qualities,” he said.

“I can’t even talk about Damião, I’m going to spend the whole afternoon praising him. Frizzo is a new boy, Figueiredo is the same. We’re going to do everything so that throughout the year we increase our numbers even more and I’m sure that Coritiba will emerge increasingly victorious”, added the athlete.
