The resolution that made the PT’s alliance with Guilherme Boulos official for the race for São Paulo City Hall in 2024 includes an amendment that provides that the name to be indicated by PT members for deputy PSOL deputy is preferably female.
The possibility, however, will still be debated within the party base, which will have the final say.
Initially, the text only stated that the candidacy should be from a PT cadre with a history of party building and with notorious recognition of PT militancy.
Some delegates, however, decided to include a reference to the candidacy being preferably female.
