Santa Teresa’s Medicine course was rated with the maximum score of 5 by the Ministry of Education

Manaus (AM) — After the excellent search for the first entrance exam for the Medicine course, Faculdade Santa Teresa (FST) opens registrations for the second edition of the competition, which will take place on March 8th. Santa Teresa’s Medicine course was evaluated with a maximum score of 5 by the Ministry of Education (MEC).

Registration can be made until March 8th at 12pm, in person at the FST headquarters, on Rua Acre, 200, Nossa Senhora das Graças neighborhood, as well as paying the fee, in the amount of R$ 500. Registration for successful candidates will take place from March 9th to 15th and classes for the first class of the FST Medicine course are expected to begin on March 18th.

According to the course coordinator, infectious disease doctor Maria das Graças Alecrim, the degree was designed and structured to offer complete training to students, with an approach to active methodologies and support from doctors, professors who are references in their areas of expertise.

Active methodologies, he explains, allow students to acquire practical skills from the beginning of the course. “To this end, partnerships are maintained with other public medical institutions. In this way, the student has direct contact with real cases and situations in the profession”, he emphasizes.

Just like in other courses at Santa Teresa, where encouraging entrepreneurship is an important pillar of professional training, in Medicine the topic will also be constantly worked on with students.

“The proposal is to present to future doctors the different market possibilities that can be explored throughout their training”,

he said.

According to the coordinator, other differences of the Medicine course are the use of educational technology, as a support for expanding knowledge, and the encouragement of research and modern infrastructure, with cutting-edge laboratories for teaching classes.
