Rayssa Leal won the silver medal at the Skate Street World Championship. The final took place in the early hours of this Sunday (17th) at the Ariake Coliseum, in Tokyo, Japan. With 261.90 points, Fadinha was behind the Japanese Yumeka Oda, who came out on top and finished the competition with 265.75 points.

There was an expectation that the woman from Maranhão would win her second gold in the championship – in February she won the World Cup that took place in Sharjah, in the United Arab Emirates. However, the competition was fierce and during the maneuvers Oda ended up passing Rayssa. Momoji Nishiya, also from Japan, took bronze.

In the first lap Leal got 84.15, in the second he made a mistake and received only 13.76 – in this case, the dispute only considered the score from the best lap. In tricks, she got 86.84 and 90.91 in the first and second attempts, respectively, while in the next three she did not score.

Rayssa was the only Brazilian to qualify for the final, as Pâmela Rosa came in 15th place during the semifinal that took place on Saturday (16) and consequently said goodbye to the competition. It is important to remember that the championship also counts points towards the qualifying ranking for the Paris 2024 Olympics.
