PSOL questions Bolsonaro’s stay with Tarcísio at government headquarters

[ad_1]

Parliamentarians of PSOL question the former president’s stay at the Public Ministry of São Paulo (MP-SP) Jair Bolsonaro (PL) at Palácio dos Bandeirantes at the invitation of the governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), to participate in the act in their support next Sunday (25). Among the questions, there is also Bolsonaro’s meeting with allies that will be held at Tarcísio’s official residence to finalize the final details of the event.

The document is signed by federal deputy Luciene Cavalcante (PSOL-SP), by state deputy Carlos Giannazi (PSOL-SP) and by councilor of the São Paulo City Council Celso Giannazi (PSOL) and was sent through the Legislative Assembly of the State of São Paulo to Mário Luiz Sarrubbo, Attorney General of the State of São Paulo.

In the piece, the parliamentarians question the use of money and a public building for the purpose of hosting “a person who does not hold any public office, is ineligible due to numerous irregularities committed in the electoral process and also responds to several legal proceedings.”

STATE DEPUTY CARLOS GIANNAZI, FEDERAL DEPUTY LUCIENE CAVALCANTE and CAPITAL COUNCILOR CELSO GIANNAZI, hereby jointly come before Your Excellency to present and request the following.

Once again, according to press reports, the State Governor will receive, at Palácio dos Bandeirantes, former president Jair Bolsonaro, his political godfather, for accommodation. This time, the reason will be the participation of both in a demonstration in this Capital next Sunday, 02/25.

According to official sources, the accommodation at the São Paulo Executive headquarters will also be used to hold a meeting with allies and to finalize the final details of the aforementioned event.

It turns out that, as we have already stated on another occasion, nothing justifies the Governor hosting, with public money and in a building with public purposes – as it is the headquarters of the São Paulo executive – a person who does not hold any public office, is ineligible due to numerous irregularities practiced in the electoral process and also responds to several legal proceedings.

It is essential to highlight that the Palácio dos Bandeirantes is supported by public money, being the place of work of the Governor and some State Secretariats. The official residence inside is not a hotel to house people accused of genocide, corruption, denialism and an attempted coup against the Democratic Rule of Law, currently being investigated by the Federal Police. By acting in this way, the governor is violating the impersonality and impartiality of public management, violating administrative morality and using public assets for personal and party political purposes.

Order

In view of the above, Your Excellency is requested to take the necessary measures to question the costs and purposes of this accommodation, demanding appropriate measures from those responsible.
