The MEC (Ministry of Education) delayed the release of the results of the 2nd call for ProUni (University for All Program) for the third day in a row. Technical problems have affected the loading of results on the federal higher education access platform.

The initial schedule predicted that the results of the 2nd call would be released on Tuesday (27), but candidates for scholarships for the program are still unable to access the results this Thursday (29).

The MEC states that the results are now scheduled for this Friday (1st). “The technical teams from the Sub-Secretariat of Information and Communication Technology (Stic) and the Secretariat of Higher Education (Sesu) are working to publish the results of the second Prouni call as quickly as possible”, says a note from the ministry.

ProUni offers scholarships at private higher education institutions. To compete, candidates use the results of the Enem (National High School Exam) and register in a specific federal government system.

Candidates with the best grades occupy the vacancies first. The first call took place at the beginning of February and, if vacancies are not filled, the government opens a second call.

It is expected that candidates selected in the second call will have until March 12th to prove the information provided. Then a new deadline will be opened, between March 18th and 19th, for those who wish to register on the waiting list.

The delay and lack of clarification caused outrage among students, who have published complaints on social media. In the access system, the MEC only updated the publication date to March 1st, without any explanation to the candidates.

This edition of ProUni offers 406,428 scholarships. Of these, 308,977 are full scholarships, which represents 76% of the total. Scholarships are distributed across 15,482 courses at 1,028 participating institutions.
