President of Enel refuses invitation to testify at CPI in SP – 12/13/2023 – Panel

The president of Enel, Max Xavier Lins, did not accept an invitation from the president of the CPI that is investigating the company in the Chamber of Councilors, João Jorge (PSDB), to give testimony at the session that takes place this Thursday (14).
Lins justified his absence by citing previously scheduled commitments and appointed directors to provide clarifications. Because it was an invitation, he had no obligation to attend, unlike a summons.
The commission was created to investigate the blackout that occurred in several areas of the city following a windstorm on November 3rd.
The directors of Operations and Infrastructure, Vicenzo Ruotolo, and of Markets, André Osvaldo dos Santos, will be present.
According to Lins, the directors are qualified to provide the necessary information about the delay in restoring the energy service.
